A number of paths at the parks have been submerged as a result of rain and melting snow.

A spokesman for the Nene Park Trust said: "following the return of the high water levels, Ham Mere, Short Meadow, Bluebell Wood (from Milton Ferry Bridge), Woodston Reach, Orton Mere lock and Thorpe Meadows are once again flooded and not currently accessible. Please take care!"

He said: "Pontoon Bridge in Ferry Meadows will be closed to visitors on Thursday 28th and Friday 29th January, until about 4pm each day, while ground investigation work is carried out. Please use alternative routes around the Park. Thank you for your patience."
