The lakeside offices have under a major overhaul following the collapse of Thomas Cook, which employed 1,000 people at the premises.

Western Union International Bank has agreed to a new 10-year lease for space totalling 12,249 sq ft (1,137 sq m) on the second floor of the building.

JBA Consulting has signed a new five-year lease for 4,869 sq ft (452 sq m) on the first floor.

The leases have been agreed by Atlantic Leaf Properties, advised jointly by Savills and DTRE.

Rupert Langdon, investment manager at Atlantic Leaf, said: “Already home to Bauer Media and previously occupied by Thomas Cook, WestPoint has undergone a £4 million refurbishment.

“It now provides a spacious concierge served business lounge, a fully fitted gym, sports hall and café with a lakeside terrace.

“The development has been awarded a platinum ‘cyclingscore.com’ rating and the property has also secured a five star data connectivity rating and an unrivalled car parking ratio to include EV charging capability.”

National office fit-out and refurbishment specialist, Overbury, has designed and delivered the new look, which provides a collaborative environment which supports and enhances new ways of working.

Mr Langdon said: “A range of suite sizes remain available to let, which can cater for individual requirements, starting from 4,714 sq ft (437 sq m) at a quoting rent of £19.50 per sq ft.

He added: “We have found interest from occupiers has actually been accelerated by Covid-19 as people seek affordable Cambridgeshire countryside living only 49 minutes by train to London, whilst businesses are considering longer term strategic ‘hub and spoke’ office models.”

Edward Gee, associate director in the business space team at Savills Peterborough, said: “Up until now there has been very little availability across the city when it comes to prime office stock so we have received a high level of interest to date.”
