Dream comes true for 22-year-old Ellie as she opens her own business in Peterborough
An enterprising woman in Yaxley has just opened her first retail business.
Ellie Lambert (22) has just launched The Holly Bell Barn in Harrier Way, Peterborough by fitting out an empty warehouse building into a welcoming retail area.
The independent gift shop offers a range of goodies from sweets and snacks to cold drinks, an array of gifts for multitudes of occasions as well as cards and wrapping paper.
Ellie said: “This is my first business.

She said: “Over the past few months, I’ve worked tirelessly to transform an empty warehouse unit into a warm, welcoming retail space.
“Starting a business from scratch at 22 has come with its challenges, but every step has been driven by determination, hard work and a desire to make my aunt proud.
However, the new business is also a tribute to a much-loved aunt.
Ellie said: “This shop is far more than a business to me.

“It’s a lifelong dream that became possible after I received an inheritance from my aunt, Angie, who sadly passed away from brain cancer last year.
“Losing such a strong, independent and inspiring woman was devastating, but it also taught me that life is too short not to take a leap of faith.
“With the legacy she left behind, I decided to build something of my own – something I hope will become a valued part of our local community. -
“Inside the shop, you’ll find a small area called “Angie’s Animals”, created as a tribute to her and the impact she had on my life.”
