Double rainbow lights up sky over Peterborough for weekly Clap for the Carers

A beautiful double rainbow lit up the skies above Peterborough as residents came out for the traditional clap for carers last night to celebrate the front line key workers

The rainbow has been a symbol of hope throughout lockdown, with children’s drawings decorating many windows - and last night at 8pm there was a break in the rain to allow the stunning spectacle to be seen, as the uplifting applause began. There was a number of people at Peterborough City Hospital to applaud the NHS staff working there, but residents including Sha Ron, Daniel Rutterford, Zoe Law, Dale McKean and Amanda Johnson sent pictures in of the spectacular scene over Peterborough.
