After being contacted by his friend, who works in the Peterborough City Hospital Intensive Care Unit, they described how fatigued they were and how the masks are causing sores and skin irritation from constant wear and washing.

Jumping to help, Ishfaq contacted Craig Wilkinson, manager of Boots at Queensgate, to see if they could help with any of this as they had previously teamed up to help supply the hospital with baby monitors at cost price to aid with patient care and saving PPE (personal protective equipment).

Ishfaq said: “I wanted to see if we could lift the spirits of the staff and give them some much deserved pampering. They pulled out all the stops.”

The staff delivered 170 gift bags filled with luxury fragrances, make up, beauty treatments and skin care to show their appreciation for the hard work they are doing. Decorated with bows and rainbows, the bags were a big hit with staff.
