Coronavirus: Peterborough charity creates hundreds of masks, gloves and food packages

Its group message is to bring hope to people: “We do not know what tomorrow will bring, yet one thing is certain. We make impossible things possible, and together we are able to survive and become stronger because we are together.”
Yvonne Yozek and Nina Magdalena Bogucka started their page around a month ago and have amassed huge support. Starting with handmade masks and gloves, volunteers from the group have been sewing them together. Distributing more than 800 in only a few weeks, the group wanted to see what else they could do.

Hide AdThe charity now has 35 volunteers who are helping to create food packs for those in need. Having donated more than 400 packs so far, the group isn’t stopping there, with members still creating food packages to help vulnerable members in the community. All of the support given by the group is completely free.
Nina said: “One important thing is that we’re helping everybody, no matter what nationality or where you’re from. We want to help. It’s really great to have so many people helping. For anyone who is waiting for some support, we’re here.”
