Cambridgeshire Community Foundation has set up the Cambridgeshire Coronavirus Community Fund to help community organisations throughout Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, who are supporting isolated older and vulnerable people at this time.

These are the community groups on the ground who have immediate contact with those who are struggling because of Covid-19, and they can receive up to £5,000 to help with their vital work.

Generous funding and donations have already been received from the Cambridgeshire County Council, the National Emergencies Trust appeal, Cambridge Building Society, Chadwyck-Healey Charitable Trust, hundreds of members of the public, and every little bit helps.

Michael O’Toole, CEO, Cambridgeshire Community Foundation said: “In such a challenging time it has been incredibly heartening to see how communities across Cambridgeshire are coming together to help those who are more vulnerable. We are determined to support these community groups with the funding that they need to do this vital work. Thank you to everyone who has supported our appeal. Please spread the word and donate if you can.”
