Coronavirus: 10 Covid-19 patients die in two days at hospitals run by Peterborough health trust

Ten Covid-19 patients have died in two days at hospitals run by the North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust.

The latest figures released by NHS England yesterday (Thursday) show that six patients died at either Peterborough City Hospital or Hinchingbrooke Hospital on Tuesday and four on Wednesday, although there were no recorded deaths on Monday.

In total, 83 patients with the virus have passed away at either of the hospitals.

Across the UK, 616 coronavirus patients have died in hospital over the latest 24 hour period, bringing the total to 18,738.

In Peterborough, 171 people have tested positive for the virus.

That compares to 603 in Cambridgeshire, 712 in Lincolnshire and 952 in Northamptonshire.
