Ms Simpson said: “I’ve worked with five local businesses, all owned by women, and the products in this quarter’s box come from Market Deeping, Bourne, Langtoft and Peterborough.”

Ms Simpson, who has run her own beauty business called Wink Lash and Brow Bar, in Market Deeping, for more than two years, said: “The Bijou Box is designed to be an experience and can be personalised for each customer.

“I hopes that Bijou Box encourages us all to make more time for ourselves whilst discovering new and exciting local products.

She added: “We know what self care is but we don’t always treat ourselves to it. Lockdown forced us all to slow down a little bit. It’s so important that we don’t lose that and I wanted to find a way to support and encourage women to make themselves more of a priority.”

Ms Simpson said her new venture was separate from her first business.

She added: “Beauty has always been a passion of mine but it took me a while to realise that’s where I wanted to be. I have a degree in youth and community and worked in education before I made the leap to running my own business.”
