It’s been another busy week for the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit.
Officers treated a man involved in a serious vehicle fire, recovered a stolen John Deere Gator 4x4 buggy and stopped a van full of stolen fuel.
This is just some of the incidents covered in the last seven days by the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire (BCH) Road Policing Unit – the policing unit which patrols Peterborough’s roads.
Other incidents included a woman caught on her phone, whose excuse was that she was booking a dentist appointment.

5. Vehicle's illegal plates
This BMW failed to display a front and rear number plates. Failing to comply to regulations, the plates were also tinted. Driver reported and fined. Photo: BCH
6. Driver arrested for stolen vehicle
Officers responded to a report of a cloned vehicle. The driver stopped the vehicle and its true identity was obtained, revealing it to have been stolen. The driver was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and failure to provide a drug wipe. Photo: BCH
7. Illegal tyres
This vehicle was stopped by officers because its MOT had expired. An inspection of the vehicle revealed cord exposure on one tyre and another tyre which was under inflated with a slow puncture. Driver reported for several offences and directed to a nearby garage. Photo: BCH
8. No license or insurance
The driver of this vehicle had an expired license and no insurance. Officers recovered the vehicle. Photo: BCH
