One person injured after collision at Peterborough roundabout

At least one driver has been injured in a collision at a Peterborough roundabout this morning (January 12).

The incident took place close to the Eye roundabout, at the entrance to the Frank Perkins Parkway and involved a HGV and a Vauxhall Corsa.

Several police vans attended the scene, along with ambulances and a fire engine. The road remained open but with minor delays as the entrance to the parkway was reduced to one lane.

Police have confirmed that at least one person has been injured.

A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Police said: “We were contacted at 8.09am today (12 January) with reports of a collision on the Frank Perkins Parkway (A1139) close to the roundabout near Eye.

“The collision involved a HGV and a Vauxhall car. Officers, paramedics and fire crews have attended the scene.

“One person has been injured, but further details are unclear.”
