Light aircraft makes emergency landing in field near A1
A light aircraft made an emergency landing in a field near the A1 this afternoon (Saturday, February 4).
The aircraft was reported to have had engine problems and landed near The Sibson Inn, with the nose facing into the ground and the tail facing up.
The two people on board are said to be uninjured and were able to escape the aircraft after it had landed.
All the emergency services are currently at the scene.
The crash occurred at about 4.40pm today.
Inspector Matt Bill said there is no disruption to the roads.
