Lane closed on major Peterborough city centre road as flooding hits
Heavy rainfall and sleet like conditions have hit much of the city today and that has caused a lane closure at the Wentworth Street Junction.
The last time the road flooded was less than a month ago (December 24) when torrential rain hit the city and left much of the surrounding areas to deal with flooding.

The road was also closed for several days last February after a burst water main flooded the carriageway.
In December, Peterborough MP called for action to investigate the causes of the frequent flooding of the road.
He said: “This flooding on Bourges Boulevard is no longer a freak event. It seems to happen every single time Peterborough is hit by a storm or heavy rain.
