Joy as playgroup is rated as outstanding
An inspector visited the group, rated “good” in 2011, before Christmas. The inspector noted that: “Children receive high levels of support during activities where needed and staff use a variety of highly effective teaching methods.
“Children are encouraged to make their own decisions and develop their problem-solving skills and independence from a young age.”

Hide AdShe added: “Staff develop a deep appreciation for children’s backgrounds, strengths and interests which enables them to support and promote children’s welfare to a high standard.
“Children flourish as they become independent and learn essential social skills, such as kindness, consideration and how to negotiate and take turns.
“Excellent relationship with parents supports a shared approach to children’s learning.”
The playgroup provides funded early education for two, three and four-year-old children. Manager Emma Turczyn said: “We are delighted to report that pre-school has been awarded ‘Outstanding’ for the quality and standards of early years provision that we provide.

Hide Ad“We have been awarded the highest grading in the four main areas of early years provision that are inspected. These are: Effectiveness of the leadership and management; Quality of teaching, learning and assessment; Personal development, behaviour and welfare; Outcomes for children.
