Hayes to headline transport talks with group in Spalding
James MacColl, head of campaigns for the charity Campaign for Better Transport, and Mr Hayes, MP for South Holland and the Deepings, will join the public and members of Spalding and Peterborough Transport Forum at a meeting to be held at South Holland District Council on Thursday, September 22 at 7.30pm.
The meeting is the first important set of talks about Spalding and South Holland’s transport network since a conference attended by business leaders, train operators and officials from Lincolnshire County Council in Spalding last October.

“We’ve been trying to build on the Lincolnshire Transport Conference last October and this is the first meeting we’ve been able to hold since then.”
Mr Scott added that the meeting was also a chance for forum members and guests to discuss the possible impact of plans to create a directly-elected mayor for Greater Lincolnshire, with responsibility for transport.
“The Campaign for Better Transport and the forum are dealing with the possibility of mayoral elections for Greater Lincolnshire, as well as the possible opening of new railway stations, including Littleworth (in Deeping St Nicholas),” Mr Scott said.
