Good citizens get involved in fundraising in Peterborough
A group of city youngsters rounded off their two-week National Citizen Service (NCS) programme by helping the community with social action projects.
This included litter picking and fundraising at Bretton Park.
This programme involved 185 students aged 15-17.
The first week involved them staying at an outdoor activity centre, getting to know one another and taking part in team building activities.
The next part of the programme looked to develop their life skills by taking part in sessions like Drive IQ run by Cambridgeshire Road Safety Partnership and a police officer, money management, a youth MP session, a careers session, and the chance to test their team work in the Escape Rooms.
