The National Trust has teamed up with Panasonic to give visitors to its properties the opportunity to win a Lumix DMC-TZ70 camera in an autumn photography competition.

As the summer brightness fades, the gorgeous glow of autumn begins and it’s the perfect opportunity to wander round a National Trust place with a camera to capture the essence of autumn days.

Images entered should illustrate the theme of an ‘autumn glow’, but whether it’s a fiery sunset, golden trees, russet landscapes, colourful flowers, gleaming copper pans, or simply faces beaming with delight, the interpretation is entirely up to the individual.

You could get ‘snap happy’ at Belton House, near Grantham, for the changing landscape of the parkland, complete with deer. Gunby Hall’s gardens and wider estate offer tranquillity, while Tattershall Castle provides long shadows cast in the autumn sunlight. Or see what autumn creatures are visiting the new wildlife pond at Woolsthorpe Manor.

National Trust photographer Chris Lacey said: “I have the pleasure of photographing many of the fantastic properties and outdoor spaces we look after, all year round. However, autumn is one of my favourite times of year. It’s great to see how the vibrant colours transform the views outside and how the warm autumn lighting gives a different perspective to the buildings too.”

To enter, simply take a photo at one of the Midlands National Trust places that illustrates the interpretation of ‘autumn glow’ and then either:
