Fun day raises more than £3,000

The fun day, on Bank Holiday Monday (May 2) was organised by the committee at the Village Playgroup, based in Church Street, Werrington.

In all, the event raised £3,121.28, with potentially more still to come in, to be shared between the playgroup and Amazon Children’s Ward at Peterborough City Hospital where committee fundraiser Danielle Carver’s daughter Poppy, 3, was treated for hip dysphasia.

Thanks go to all who gave their time including Kid of the Castle, Acetones, Vision Racer, Xtra Mile Entertainments, Creation Station, Sub Xpress, Caked Mua, Hair by Jules, Good Times Karaoke and Serpentine Green.
