Fun day raises more than £3,000

Four hours of fun at Serpentine Green shopping centre in Hampton raised more than £3,000 for two good causes.

The fun day, on Bank Holiday Monday (May 2) was organised by the committee at the Village Playgroup, based in Church Street, Werrington.

In all, the event raised £3,121.28, with potentially more still to come in, to be shared between the playgroup and Amazon Children’s Ward at Peterborough City Hospital where committee fundraiser Danielle Carver’s daughter Poppy, 3, was treated for hip dysphasia.
