Friends pay tribute to Peterborough and Huntingdon workmates killed on A14

Tributes have been paid to two work colleagues from Peterborough and Huntingdon killed on the A14 on Wednesday, April 20.

Jason Louis (31) of Worthington Close in Stilton, Peterborough, and workmate Dan Marshall of Mayfield Road in Hartford, Huntingdon were travelling in their work Ford Transit when it was involved in a collision with three HGVs at about 4.30pm near Swavesey.

The ambulance service attended, but sadly the men were pronounced dead at the scene.

The pair worked for Kelly Communications as engineers serving Virgin Media customers.

Friends have taken to Facebook to pay tribute to the duo.

Steve Whitehead wrote “R.I.P Jason Louis. Thoughts go out to your family. Rest easy m8.”

Dan Marshall, who went to Peterborough Regional College, had also served in the army.

Mick Smart wrote: “He is in the same ex serviceman group as me. Thank you for your service Dan, may you rest in peace.”

The road was closed for around 10 hours while police investigations took place.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact the road policing unit on 101.
