Former Archbishop of Canterbury Dr Rowan Williams to speak at Peterborough charity conference

The former Archbishop of Canterbury Dr Rowan Williams is to speak at a conference held by charity Hope into Action.

Dr Williams will be speaking on ‘Why the church should engage with the homeless’ when he visits Peterborough on March 11.

Other speakers will tackle topics such as ending violence on women and supporting people with mental health.

Dr Williams will also be presenting awards to the charity’s tenants who have won various categories.

The event is a national conference with churches and those interested in helping the homeless attending.

Hope into Action, which has an office in Peterborough, provides homes for the most vulnerable in society in partnership with local churches.

The conference is being held at Bretton Baptist Church, Copeland, between 9.30am and 3.3opm
