Food festival helps raise £350 for charity

A traditional Food Festival held at All Saints Marthoma Church in Peterborough, has raised a fantastic £350 for the international children's charity, Smile Train.

The All Saints Marthoma Church Women’s Association arranged the helping hand event to help raise funds for the charity which provides free surgery for children suffering with cleft lip and palate.

All of the ladies and their families cooked a variety of dishes for the festival which were then served at lunch time to members of the All Saints Marthoma Church in exchange for a donation.

More than 50 families were involved in providing food for the event, including those who attended the event itself.

The group is delighted with the total that has been raised for Smile Train.
