Fire crews used specialist cutting equipment to free a motorist from their vehicle following a crash on the A605.

Crews from Dogsthorpe and Stanground were called to the crash at the junction with the A1 at 10.10am on Saturday, January 9.

A Hyundai towing a trailer had left the road and fallen into a ditch. Firefighters used specialist cutting equipment to release a casualty.

Crews returned to station by 12.05pm.
