Firefighters called out to fence fire in Peterborough

Firefighters were called out to a fence fire in Peterborough last night (Thursday).

The Peterborough Volunteer Fire Brigade attended a fire in the open in Wesleyan Road, Dogsthorpe, at around 8pm.

The crew found a fence well alight and used a hose reel to extinguish it.

The cause of the fire was accidental, a spokeswoman for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said.
