Curry on campus

The delicious smell of curry filled the halls of City College Peterborough on Tuesday.

The Peterborough Bangladesh Welfare Association were at the college’s campus in Brook Street where they were taking part in a curry cooking competition.

The leader of Peterborough City Council, Councillor John Holdich, pictured here with a number of the chefs, was one of the lucky guests at the event.

The cooking took place from noon until 1pm. The curries were then displayed for showcasing, judging and to be enjoyed. The association is also holding a multicultural food festival and celebration of EID on Sunday, July 10.

The event will be held at the Millennium Centre, Dickens Street, Eastfield, from 12.45pm to 3pm.
