VIDEO: Car torched in Peterborough street

A car was set alight by arsonists in the middle of last night.

Fire crews were called to Church Street in Stanground at 2.12am.

Crews arrived to find the car well alight. Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish the fire, before returning to their station by 3am.

The cause of the fire was believed to be deliberate. Anyone with information should call Cambridgeshire police on 101.
