UPDATE: Two men appear in court charged with robbery of pizza delivery driver in Peterborough

Two men have appeared in court in connection with a serious assault and robbery in Peterborough on Sunday, May 8.

Mark Lintott, 29, of Shrewsbury Avenue, Peterborough, and Joel Lawson, 25, of Goodhale Road, Norwich, have both been charged with robbery. The latter was also charged with possession of cannabis.

Both appeared at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court yesterday, May 10, and have been remanded in custody to appear at Peterborough Crown Court on June 8.

Police were called at 1.30am to reports of the assault in Shrewsbury Avenue.

The victim, a 45-year-old man who was delivering pizzas at the time of the robbery, was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge, where he remains in a critical condition.
