Unlucky!... Police in Peterborough seize mini motorcycle after it breaks down in front of them

Police called to investigate loud noise and antisocial riding of a motorbike in Peterborough seized the machine after it broke down in front of them.

Officers heard the bike when they arrived at a park in Bretton after receiving complaints from residents in the area.

As they entered the park the bike stalled and despite the ‘frantic’ efforts of its rider it wouldn’t restart.

Police said the bike was then seized after they discovered ‘document offences’.

In a social media post officers said: “Mini Motorcycle reported to be riding around Bretton, upon entering the park we could hear the bike loud and clear, he did the rounds and on his return lap the bike stalled and he couldn’t get it restarted and was frantically trying to use the pull start but the little 50cc had enough riding for today.

“Seized for document offences. Unlucky...”
