Two Peterborough men charged over string of burglaries in city

Two men have been charged in connection with a burglary series in Peterborough between August and October last year (2020).

Paul Wright, 25, and Charley Corleys, 19, were arrested by the Acquisitive Crime Team yesterday morning (Wednesday 6 January).

The pair have both been charged with conspiracy to burgle, relating to four homes in Orton Goldhay, three in Orton Waterville, two each in Orton Malborne, Orton Brimbles and Woodston, and one each in Orton Wistow, Hempsted, Alwalton and Castor.

They have also been charged with conspiracy to steal five vehicles; a Seat Alhambra, two Nissan Qashqais, a Jaguar XF and a Fiat Talento.

Wright, of Lessingham in Orton Brimbles, and Corleys, of Hinchcliffe in Orton Goldhay, have both been remanded in custody to appear at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court today (Thursday 7 January).
