Three arrested after Peterborough stabbing

Police have arrested three people after knife attack in a Peterborough street left one man in hospital.

The man, aged 25, was driving a white Vauxhall Astra on Dogsthorpe Road near All Saints Primary School at about 2.10pm yesterday (Thursday) when the stabbing happened.

Medics from the East of England Ambulance Service and Magpas Air Ambulance attended the scene.

The man was taken to hospital by land ambulance for further care.

Two men, aged 16 and 25, and a 20-year-old woman, were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent this morning and are currently in custody at Thorpe Wood Police Station.

The windows of the Astra were smashed in the attack.

The victim has now been discharged from hospital.

Scenes of crime officers were seen examining the white Astra yesterday as part of the investigation.

Dogsthorpe Road was closed for a number of hours while detectives worked at the scene.
