Lincolnshire Police said that just before midnight on Friday 30 October, thieves stole a white Peugeot tipper truck and diesel from a business premises on Spalding Road, Bourne. Officers found the tipper truck around 1.50am (Saturday 31 October) in a barn off Fen Road in Ruskington. The driver of the Toureg has gone on to ram the vehicle through the gates of Ruskington Garden Centre. The occupants have abandoned this vehicle and ran from the scene. “One line of inquiry is to appeal for any witnesses and anyone who has any information or recorded footage that may assist detectives in their investigation. “We would like to hear from anyone who saw a Peugeot tipper truck (NU71 TCK) travelling between Bourne and Ruskington in the very early hours of Saturday morning. We would also like to hear from anyone who saw a VW Toureg (No plates displayed) being driven in the area and specifically on Fen Road, Ruskington. “We’re asking anyone who lives in the area of Ruskington Garden Centre if they may have been disturbed around 1.50am or afterwards. We believe they ran off via the estate behind the garden centre. “Please check any recorded footage that may have captured the offenders as they drove to or they fled from the Garden Centre.”
