Teens arrested after answering door to constables posing as parcel couriers

Two teens were arrested from a Peterborough address after answering their door to police constables posing as parcel couriers.

The 17-year-olds were arrested yesterday (Thursday, March 2) with British Transport Police poking fun at them on Twitter,

BTP Peterborough tweeted: “Two special deliveries to custody.” That tweet now appears to have been deleted.

A BTP spokeswoman said: “Officers arrested two 17-year-old boys at an address in Peterborough on Tuesday, March 2.

“One boy was arrested for failing to answer police bail and has now been charged.

“The second boy was arrested for failing to attend court in December following charges brought before him by Cambridge police.

“He has since appeared before Cambridge Magistrates’ Court.”

No further details were given.
