Teenager taken to hospital after assault at Peterborough's Central Park

A teenager was taken to hospital after being assaulted at Central Park.

Police were called at 3.45pm yesterday (Sunday) to reports of violence at the park in Park Road.

A man in his late teens was assaulted by another man who left the area shortly afterwards. The victim was taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries.

The suspect is described as a white man in his mid-20s wearing a blue bomber jacket and blue jeans with stone washed patches.

The Magpas air ambulance also landed in Central Park at the same time police attended.

The ambulance service has been contacted for more information.
