Gibbs, of Tennyson Road, Loughborough, was driving on Ermine Street, Alconbury in December. He gave a reading of 45ugs in 100ml of breath, and was also driving with no insurance and otherwise in accordance with a licence.

Along with the driving offences, he also admitted assaulting PC James Style, and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour - and the offence was racially aggravated.

He was jailed for 12 weeks, suspended for 18 months, ordered to pay compensation of £120, and a victim surcharge of £122, and was banned from driving for 14 months. The ban can be reduced by 14 weeks if the drink drive rehabilitation course is completed by 19/10/20.
