A suspected drink driver has been charged after crashing into a wall in Peterborough.

Officers were called to Nicholls Avenue in West Town on Friday afternoon (9 October) after the car 48-year-old Adam Jedrzejewski was driving collided with a brick wall.

Jedrzejewski, of Nicholls Avenue, was breathalysed at the scene and provided a reading of 153 – the legal limit is 35.

Being more than four times the legal alcohol limit for driving, he was taken into custody however he failed to provide an evidential sample later on.

He was charged with failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis under the Road Traffic Act, and has been bailed to appear at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court on 7 December.
