"I'm relieved to hear the person who was injured will recover, but the psychological damage to him and to the community will not heal as easily."

The stabbing is the latest in a series of knife attacks in the city in recent weeks.

Earlier this week police said they had arrested a man in connection with stabbings in Werrington.
