All three men have been remanded in custody to appear at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Friday).

In total, there were six arsons over a four day period in Peterborough which were said to be “targeted” attacks.

The arsons on vehicles and properties were in the Eastfield, New England and Millfield areas.

This prompted police to put in place a section 60 order from 8pm on Tuesday night until 8pm tonight.

The order, which was authorised by an inspector, gave police officers more powers to search people and vehicles under Section 60 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994.

As part of the investigation four people were arrested last night in Eastfield Road.

A 34-year-old man remains in custody at Thorpe Wood Police Station.

Two women aged 28 and 29, and a 26-year-old man, have all been released under investigation.
