Searches for missing Peterborough teenager Bernadette Walker continue

Police hunting for missing Peterborough teenager Bernadette Walker are continuing to search in the city for her.

Bernadette (17) was reported missing by her mum on July 21 after she had not been seen for three days.

Her mum Sarah Walker (37) and dad Scott Walker (50), both of Century Square, Peterborough have been charged with her murder and are set to appear at Peterborough Crown Court later this month.

Searches have been on going since September, but police have not found the teenager.

Today a police spokesman said: "We continue to search in a number of different areas, including multiple abandoned, vacant or derelict buildings in Peterborough and some large open areas in Gunthorpe.”

The searches have included in three garages in Walton, countryside in Cowbit and a number of areas across Peterborough.

Bernadette's parents will be expected to enter pleas on November 30 at the Crown Court hearing.

When she went missing, she was described as medium build, her hair was half brown, half gingery blonde with a streak of pink. She has facial piercings and two homemade tattoos. She wears glasses and is around 5ft 6in.
