“Yesterday we informed all parents via text messages to collect the children using a different entrance and all children left the school in a calm and orderly manner with key staff on the gates providing reassurance to the community.
“Today local police are in school to talk informally to children and allay any worries and fears. Next week our school chaplain and school leaders will continue to support the children and families with any ongoing concerns.”
