Police search drains as part of Peterborough murder probe

Officers were seen going through drains in Broadgate Lane, Market Deeping yesterday as part of the investigation into the death of 30-year-old Nicky Bonner, of Park Road, Peterborough.

Nicky died in Southfields Road, Stanground, after he was stabbed on Tuesday afternoon.

Cambridgeshire police would not reveal what officers were searching for yesterday morning.

Tyler Smith, 23, of Sandpiper Drive, Peterborough, and Kristopher White, 35, of Myrtle House Caravan Park, Peterborough appeared at Peterborough Magistrates' Court yesterday charged with murder.

They were remanded into custody to appear at Cambridge Crown Court virtually on Monday.

An 18-year-old arrested in connection with the case was in custody at Thorpe Wood Police Station yesterday.
