Police say owner of Peterborough takeaway charged with cocaine, heroin and cannabis offences

Cambridgeshire Police have said that one of the owners of a Peterborough takeaway has been charged with drug offences

A police spokesperson said Wasim Yasin, 35, of Gladstone Street, Peterborough – one of the owners of the Bake Me 1 takeaway in Gladstone Street – has been charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine and heroin, as well as being concerned in supplying cannabis.

He appeared at Cambridge Magistrates' Court on Tuesday (11 August) where he was remanded in custody. He will next appear at Cambridge Crown Court on 8 September.

The charge comes after Peterborough Magistrates’ Court issued the three-month order closing order on Bake Me 1 in July following concerns over anti-social behaviour and drug issues.

The order will remain in place until October 21.
