Police have ‘filed’ an investigation into a ram raid at a Peterborough bike shop.

He was jailed for 20 months for the drugs offences, but received no separate penalty for the possession of stolen goods.

Today a Cambridgeshire police spokesman said the investigation into the raid had been ‘filed.’

The spokesman said: “Three men aged 17, 18 and 30 were arrested on 15 April in connection with the burglary, however they were all released under investigation.

“The crime has been filed due to insufficient evidence, but as with any crime it will be re-opened pending any new evidence coming to light.”

Following the raid Paul Bonham, owner of the shop, said he had been devastated by what happened, with around £60,000 of damage being caused to the shop.
