Police discover man's body at Peterborough church
Police discovered a man's body in the grounds of a church in Peterborough late afternoon yesterday (Monday, October 15).
Police were called at 5.05pm to St John’s church in Stanground.
Eyewitnesses said they said saw three police cars at the church.
A police spokesman said: “Police were called yesterday to reports of a sudden death in Church Street, Stanground, Peterborough at 5.05pm.
“Officers attended the area and a man was pronounced dead at the scene. The death is not being treated as suspicious and will be passed to the coroner.”
