A police spokesman said: “A dispersal order is in place again in the southern area of Peterborough until 2pm on Monday.

“This action has been taken following intelligence about potential disorder and will enable us to take action against anyone who we believe to be involved in ASB or violence.

“This should not affect any members of the public going about their daily business (in line with the current government restrictions due to Covid-19) but will assist us in preventing crime in the area.

“The order allows PCSOs and police officers to direct people to leave an area if they have reasonable grounds to suspect their behaviour has caused, or is likely to cause, harassment, alarm or distress to others.

“Failure to comply with the order can result in arrest.”
