Peterborough park police cordon lifted after remains found to be that of animal

Police have said the police cordon set up at a Peterborough park this morning was because animal remains had been found.

The cordon was put in place at Farlakes Avenue, Hempsted after officers received a call from a member of the public that remains had been found.

Investigations later revealed they were the remains of an animal.

The cordon has now been lifted.
