Large police cordon set up at Peterborough park

Scenes of Crime officers are currently carrying out investigations on the land at the back of Drake Avenue in Hempsted, Peterborough.

There are currently six police vehicles and a police incident unit on the scene, and officers have sent a drone up to examine the area.

Officers have been seen searching in bushes near the children’s play park.

Cambridgeshire police have not confirmed why the cordon has been set up.

People who need to travel during the lockdown are asked to avoid the area.
