Peterborough pair charged with burgling Marks and Spencer store

A man and woman have been charged with burgling a Marks and Spencer store in Peterborough after their arrest in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Wayne McKie, 42, of no fixed address, and Shona Negus, 32, of Burmer Road, were arrested in Maskew Avenue at about 2.30am in connection with a burglary at the Brotherhood Retail Park.

They have both been charged with one count of burglary with theft of items worth £947.

The pair have been remanded in custody to appear at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court. Negus will appear today (Thursday 30 July), while McKie will appear on Tuesday next week (4 August).
