Peterborough man to appear in court charged with robbery
A man charged with robbery has been remanded in custody by the courts until his next appearance in July.
Omar Afzal, 31, was arrested on Thursday morning (4 June) in connection with the robbery of a man in Lincoln Road last month (May).
He has since been charged with robbery and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, namely a screwdriver.
Afzal, of Granville Street in Peterborough, appeared at Huntingdon Magistrates’ Court on Saturday (6 June) and has been remanded in custody to appear at Peterborough Crown Court on 3 July.
