Peterborough drug dealer jailed after cannabis worth thousands found by police
A Peterborough cannabis dealer has been jailed after neighbourhood officers uncovered drugs worth more than £2,500.
Police said that officers visited an address in Drivers Avenue, Huntingdon on 8 June following reports that drug dealing was taking place.
When they arrived, they found Daniel Hunt inside the property along with 609g of cannabis, valued at £2,600, packaged and ready for sale.
Four mobile phones containing messages linked to drug dealing were also seized, along with £430 in cash.

A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Police said that Hunt, 29, of Queens Walk, Peterborough, was sentenced to 18 months in prison at Peterborough Crown Court after admitting being concerned in the supply of cannabis and cocaine.
Detective Constable Laura Sharplin said: “Hunt was involved in the supply of illegal drugs, helping to fuel criminality and cause harm within our communities.
“Thanks to information from the public and the proactive work of neighbourhood officers, we were able to gather the evidence needed to bring him before the courts.”
