Peterborough drug dealer caught with cocaine and heroin in his hoodie jailed

A drug dealer who was caught in the act by a CCTV operator has been jailed.

Hafiz Ullah, 31, was spotted behaving suspiciously while interacting with another man on Lincoln Road, Peterborough, on 23 December last year.

After being alerted by the CCTV operator, officers attended the scene and searched Ullah, discovering a stash of drugs hidden in the front pocket of his hoodie.

They recovered 27 wraps of cocaine, 13 wraps of heroin, two mobile phones and £100 in cash.

Examination of Ullah's mobile phones revealed messages linked to drug dealing. Officers later searched his home in Lincoln Road, where they found further evidence of drug supply, including snap bags and weighing scales.

Ullah, who had six previous convictions for drug offences, was also on a suspended sentence at the time of his arrest.

At Peterborough Crown Court on Wednesday, 29 July, Ullah was sentenced to two years and three months in prison after admitting possession with intent to supply heroin, possession with intent to supply cocaine, being concerned in the supply of heroin and being concerned in the supply of cocaine.

DC Lauren Easton, who investigated, said: "Thanks to the vigilance of a CCTV operator, Ullah was quickly identified and arrested before he could continue supplying illegal drugs in our community.

"The drugs, cash and mobile phones recovered from him, together with the evidence uncovered from his devices and home address, provided overwhelming evidence of his involvement in drug dealing.

"Despite having multiple previous convictions for drug offences and being subject to a suspended sentence, he continued to offend.”
