Peterborough brothers to appear in court over car theft allegations

Two Peterborough brothers will appear in court after they were arrested on suspicion of stealing a car.

Liam Monds, 28, and Callum Monds, 24, were arrested in Dickens Street, Peterborough, on Thursday evening (9 July) on suspicion of theft of a vehicle.

A third person was arrested alongside the brothers however he was released with no further action.

Liam, of Henson Drive in Hempstead, has been charged with taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent, drink driving, driving without a licence and driving without insurance.

Callum, of Saltmarsh in Orton Malborne, has been charged with taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.

Both men were remanded to appear at Huntingdon Magistrates’ Court on Saturday (11 July).

Liam has since been released on bail, while Callum has been remanded in custody. They will both appear at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (16 July).
